Yo peeps...
The future is bright and the best is always yet to come. 8 things I am looking forward to:
1. My family is coming down in just 2 days. That involves waking up at 5am Sunday morning to pick them up from the airport.
2. Hillsong Conference and JAM United is up next week. Hillsong Conference is always the highlight of my year seeing as we always get the best of the best when it comes to speakers, bands etc. Over 30.000 full time delegates and who knows how many thousand part time... Just the whole athmosphere is great and exciting:)
3. After conference my family and I are flying up to the heat in Port Douglas... Scupa diving in the Great Barrier Reef, walks in the rain-forest with poisonous snakes and spiders...golden beaches, palm trees ets. Then we are heading a bit further south to Brisbane where we have the Steve Irwin Zoo, heaps of fun amusements parks, movie world, Wet n' Wild, the Gold coast and lots of shopping:)Yay!
4. Next semester is going to be exciting with heaps of new fun and interesting subjects. I know already who is going to teach the different classes and know its going to be sooo good...
5. My sister Silja is moving down in September for 4 months..what else can you ask for? She will get so tanned.
6. There is now only 6 months 'till Christmas! Can you believe that we are halfway through the year already????
7. Silja is taking care of the cat while the rest of the family is down-under, which means that she will probably forget to give her the birth control pill which means that the house will possibly be full of cute little fluffy kittens when I go home for Cristmas:)
8. I bought a car! A red little Holden Barina '96 model. Suddenly I feel very free! Free to go to the beach without catching a train, boat and a bus, free to drive people home, free to visit people far away, free to go on fun road-trips... If anyone has a cool name for my car do not hesitate to contact me:) Remember: Its a "he".
That's it for now! Pictures will come after Conference and my trip up North!
-Your dearly beloved Goody

Gudrun- the what?

Yo!
I have said this so many times before but this time I really mean it, from now on I am going to be better!
I have been back in Australia for over 2 months now. Here are a few updates:
-I have started by Bachelor of Theology course now, which means heaps of study and little social time.I am actually learning Greek too.
- I have figured out that I want to buy a turtle. Me and my housemate Kristin want to call him Fabian, after a funny friend of ours... Fabian the human threatens to come here and kill it once we get it. Please pray for divine protection! Apparently I have to attend a turtle course and get a turtle certificate to be able to buy one, that's what they told me at the pet-shop...I hope I'll pass.
-I have bought a Mac, the black one actually. Cause everyone has the white one. I'm different.
- We had a witch calling our house the day before Easter. It is a long and interesting story. Ask me about it if you want...
-We have finally bought a TV antenna for our house, now we can watch TV too. It is weird to be able to, I guess I have felt like an Amish person the last year...not much TV to put it that way...
- I went to an AMAZING Damien Rice concert, the best concert I've ever been to!
- We had our annual Colour Conference, with 17.000 women attending! It was great...
- Only 13 weeks 'till Hillsong Conference, my favourite conference of the year.
- My family is coming in July:)
- There is something wrong with my camera, so I haven't really taken any photos lately, except on photo both, which is on my computer. Here are some photos, just to prove that I am still alive:

Gudrun the confused thinker.

Gudrun "the bad hair-day" If I change my mind about becoming a nun I might consider marrying Johnny Bravo.

Gudrun the Holocaust victim. Don't laugh! I know I look funny.Kristin thinks I look like a Holocaust victim. Wearing a pyjamas that used to belong to my grandma and all.But do you honestly think you look better right after you have had a shower???

Gudrun the Reindeer

Gudrun the x-ray.

Gudrun the "four of us".

Gudrun the invisible.

Gudrun the "love my friend Kristin"

Gudrun the one-eyed monster.

Back Down Under
Yo wazzup?
I am back in Australia now. Arrived 4 days ago after an very interesting trip. We ( Kristen and I) had problems on almost every single airport we went to. The first problem was in Oslo. We had just been waiting for our next flight for 3 hours when the security people threw everyone out. Somewhere between 1000 and 2000 people had to leave and then check in again. It was so crowded in there that it was sometimes a bit hard to breathe. We found out that there had been a guy who had some stuff that you could make a bomb off, and when he saw that the security people noticed he took his bag and ran off. But they found both the man and the bag later, and it turned out that it wasn´t a bomb after all. My question is why the man ran off in the first place then? There are surely alot of strange people in the world. Because of this our flight was at least 2 hours delayed, and when we came to London Heathrow we sort of had to rush to our next flight to Singapore. But when we came there they suddenly could´t let us pass with our boarding passes that we got in Sola airport, because we were supposed to get another one in London. But it was almost too late and they got some people to run back for us to fix it. We were the last people who boarded the plane...But I don´t think we caused any delays.

After a long flight we arrived in Singapore. We had been told in Sola that we had to get our bags there and check in again. But when we came there they said that one of the bags had been left behind in London due to security reasons. They were going to transfer the other one for us. Kristen and I had a little discussion about who´s bag was left in London. I was almost sertain that it was mine, because I had a card-reader in there that sort of looked like a bomb. Anyways, we found our gate, met Robert and Amanda Fergussons´ daughter there who had been on some kind of a mission for her work, Opportunity International. Our flight to Sydney from there was 8,5 hours long. We arrived safely and went to find that one bag that was supposed to be there, but without any luck. Both of them were missing. Great! They told us they were going to find it within 2 days, gave us $100 each and a little survival kit with toiletries and a t-shirt in it. A day later my suitcase arrived safely at my door:) I was very happy:)

SNOOOOW!!!!!
This winter has been the warmest in decades. 10-11 degrees and a lot of rain. Rain every day. Welcome to Norway! Everyone was telling me that I wouldn't experience snow before I headed back to Australia. But I ordered some snow from God. I told Him I had one wish before I left: Snow! Everyone else was wrong. Last night I peeked out my window and what did I see? Snow! My heart jumped in excitement. There is just one thing to do when it snows: Go out and play!!! Sometimes you have to forget that you are 21 and act like you are 5. The only problem was that all my winter clothes were too small. But who cares what they look like in the snow anyways? Not me. (But don't laugh at my outfit!).
Yup. That's us. Ingunn and Gunnar left what they were doing and decided to join me. Playing in the snow by yourself is not fun, you know.
It didn't take long until the snowball-war started. I tried to tell them not to throw at me since I was holding a camera, but without any luck. The war had started. Both of them are handball players so you don't enter the war-zone unless you can handle some pain.
Our house in the snow.
Nap in the snow.
Smile in the snow.
Lying uncomfortably in the snow.
Sitting in the snow.
Lying upside down in the snow.
Making snow-angels in the snow.
I figured it's a bit self-sentered to only have photos of yourself, so here is one of Ingunn....
....and of Gunnar.
I ate some snow too, but my batteries ran out. I like eating snow.

Halsnøy
What do you do when you just want to get away for a day or two? You visit your grandparents! I got up early Tuesday morning and packed my bags. It took a short walk, a bus, a train, a ferry, a boat, and my grandma's car to get there. I got a bit motion sick on the ferry due to big waves. But don't worry, I didn't throw up :) My grandparents live on a small island on the west coast of Norway. I spent about every second summer here growing up. Good memories. What to do when at grandparent's? You just do what old people do!
First of all, you eat with them (aren't they cute). Everything your grandma puts on the table. Even the stuff you don't like. Remember that eating small portions is the same as saying you don't like the food...
Playing games with grandpa is important. My options were Ludo, Yatzy, Chinese Chess, Normal Chess and Ten Thousand. I chose Ludo, because I thought I had a chance to win. After losing 5 times I didn't want to play anymore. If you ever have to choose a game, remember that grandpa has much longer experience than you, no matter what you choose.
Play the organ. It makes grandpa happy to hear that someone inherited his musical skills. I took Piano lessons for 7 years, but there is nothing like grandpa's organ. Makes me feel religious. I like playing the wedding song. My grandpa wants me to get married soon. He has been waiting since I was in kindergarten.
A road trip around the island is always fun. Especially if you haven't been there for years. My grandparent's car is 17 years old but still faithful. My grandma is not like other grandmas. She was a taxi driver for decades, so luckily she knows how to drive properly and without people getting annoyed. Here are some things we saw on our little road trip:
View of the little town. Everybody knows everyone. Unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy that day. The island is much more beautiful in summer.
We saw the sun for a split second. Yay!
There are heaps of small islands around.
The church that mum grew up in.
This is were they place dead people. Behind the door on the right. Wonder if there is anyone there now?
The night before I arrived there was a big storm on the island. There are trees lying around all over the place.
Fallen tree.
Someone left their tractor-eggs in the water.
Swans.
Floating mini-house. Don't know who placed it there.
We used to jump and dive from there.
My grandpa has a little fishing boat.
Grandpa built this little house in the garden to sit in and eat during summer. He has a little carpenter living on the inside of him.
View from the house. The house is sort of on a hill.
And finally: The house itself. It looks small from this angle, but it is actually huge. 7 bedrooms, 4 levels, an apartment in the basement etc. Not to mention the garden. Apple trees, pear trees, strawberries, raspberries, plum trees, and all kinds of other berries that I can't remember the names of.
I only spent one night in Halsnøy because I had to work. The trip home went well. I didn't get motion sickness this time:) I am not going to write more now. Just wanted to show you where I spent a lot of my summers, although you only get to see the winter side of it:)

2007
Sooo.....2007! What can one say. Happy new year, merry Christmas and all that! Christmas was great, loved just relaxing with my famlily and opening up my presents:) I like presents. Wanna be my friend, bring me a present! Worked almost every day between Christmas and New Years Eve. I am getting along very well with the old people at the nursing home. My dad's pictures from Christmas weren't really good, but here are 2 that I took:
Me (a bad one)
Food.
Since I didn't find alot of pictures, the pictures found me. Here are some random ones that just found me.
My brother playing handball. He is the keeper. They tell me he is good. Apparently my mum was watching a game once and ended up talking to 2 girls there who were my brother's age. One of them told her they were there only to watch the guy number 1 and that he was her boyfriend. "Oh, the guy on the other team?" mum asked. "No that one" she said and pointed at my brother.... My mum didn't tell her that she was his mum. Hmmm.
Option 1: The girl lives in wishy-wishy land.
Option 2: My brother has a secret girlfriend.
My sister Ingunn playing guitar. She usually entertains us at family gatherings.

I think this is a little waterpark somewhere in Norway. My family went there last summer I think.
Gunnar has converted to a new religion. Here praying to a crocodile. Shocking!

Ingunn as she passes the camera.
This kind of looks fun... Reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Ingunn getting water baptized. Not in Waterland though. But somewhere else out in God's free nature....
I spent New Years Eve at a Youth gathering that the Family Church had. There was a lot of food, fun, and entertainment (I left my camera in the car and therefore didn't take any photos, which I regret cause there could have been some really good ones:). After shooting and watching fireworks we started part 3, which was praise and worship and preaching by my friend Chris. Part 3 was definetely my favourite. No matter how good the entertainment is there is nothing like meeting God and seeing others encounter Him:)
Oh, I just found another random photo:
My parents 12 years ago.
The last thing I want to say is that someone broke into my older sister's car today and stole here purse. People are mean. Her money, credit card, drivers license, a 300 dollar gift voucher and worst of all: her make-up! Silja is mad.

Pepperkaker
What can be better than baking with your family? I can think of a few things, but it was fun anyways. This time it was Pepperkaker, I have no idea what they are called in English. Peppercookies? I ate alot of dough.
My mum making dough.
My siblings: Ingunn (with a twisted and seemingly deformed face... Ps. Something wrong with camera, not her.) and Gunnar.
My Pepperkaker: Stars, ducks, hearts, flowers and a bear.
I forgot to put enough flour under the dough so they became a bit disfigured when I tried to remove them :(
Gunnar's angels. Looks like a choir.
Ingunn's hearts. And her hands.
Gunnar's angels when they came out of the stove. In reality my mum is standing disappointed next to them because we forgot to check on them. So, burnt angels. Fallen angels???
I like hearts. I drew one on my pink Bible once. This is so random.
The man of my dreams. Now I don't have to look anymore. I mean, now he doesn't have to look for me anymore... That's what I meant.
And finally: My mum obviously misses snow. With an extreemily mild winter my mum couldn't stand it anymore. She sprayed some fake snow on our windows. Desperate housewife.
I forgot to put enough flour under the dough so they became a bit disfigured when I tried to remove them :(
